RIP [04 Nov 2008|11:14pm] [ mood | melancholy ] Having your house burn down is a traumatic thing as we discovered first hand a few weeks ago. We got out more or less intact, a liitle bit of smoke inhalation for me. We also saved the two dogs but one cat is dead and the other two have been missing since. Most of the resin family died in the flames. R.I.P Jasper the cat. Resins - Ja-Reth, Marcus, Guy, Alia, Tefnut, Timothy, Celine, Hana and the three unnamed foxes and one rabbit. The Corpse Bride [01 Jan 2008|03:55am] [ mood | cheerful ] Well, again it's been a while. So much happening, a few new additions to family that I'll get around to posting pics of soon...... I promise. ;) Happy New Year everyone by the way, nearly forgot that. We lose track of the days sometimes. Working for yourself has it's good points and bad points, forgetting what day it is becuase you haven't been out is definitely a drawback. I never used to have that problem with the 9 to 5 job, I always knew when the weekend was. :) Our first Ebay auction of OOAK modded DZ Orlando finished and it went pretty well. Covered the costs and some left over for the work that went into. As usual though, not a very high hourly rate of pay. LOL We turned Orlando into the Corpse Bride. Innana takes most of the credit for the modding and costume. My contribution was the construction of her coffin box and staying out of Innana's way while managing to tell her she was nuts at the same time. Surprising thing was that when I showed the pics to the DZ rep, she took them to her boss who fell in love with her. He wanted to put them up on the company site (they are now proudly there) and wanted us to either make him one identical or let him buy her. Nice boost to the ego. Here are a few pics, just to give you an idea of what she looks like. She will heading to her new home soon. Lovely regular who seems to collect our OOAK gowns. A beast of a machine [10 Nov 2007|01:23pm] [ mood | happy ] A big box arrived at the post office for us the other day. A friend in the US got it for us and the drama to get it shipped to Aust was amazing. This box was massive and I think USPS had a heart attack when he walked in with it. :) But it made it here in one piece without a scratch on the box. It's a Harley Davidson Road King, 34 inches long, remote controlled, sound, working lights, electronic braking, working suspension.... the whole nine yards. :) Marcus tried it out first...... But Tefnut was not going to be left behind. (I have some suspicions about these two) And a couple of detail pics. It's amazing how much detail there is on the thing. :) 12 comments|post comment

New stuff [08 Nov 2007|08:20pm] [ mood | busy ] Well, it took a while but I am finally getting around to adding Ja-Reths pics and a few others. Ja-Reth is the limited DZ Quinn I mentioned last time I posted to the journal. :) So, Here he is....... We also did a Doll Show at Prahran. The BJD's went down well with everyone. Found some time [29 Sep 2007|05:40pm] [ mood | excited ] Finally found a brief moment to add something to here. :) So, whats new I hear you ask........ Additions to the family with pics. Andre - a DZ Yuri ( More ) Emily - A DZ Ani ( More ) Marcus - DZ Yuu Innana is in love with big boys now....... ( More ) A yet to be named Dollzone LE Quinn is arriving next month. No pics until he arrives of course. :) Things have been busy all round. We have been in contact with a jeweller who does gothic/pagan style jewellery and they will be making up some matching sets of necklaces for us. Basically like a his and hers set but human and doll size instead. You can get a necklace for yourself and have a matching one for your doll to wear. Pentagrams, spiders, dragons, bats and so forth. This is the first sample set we got just recently. Other news, we are doing our first doll show on the 21st of next month. Excited, apprehensive and all sorts of other things all rolled into one for that. I think this has gone on for about long enough now, so I'll leave it at that. :) 8 comments|post comment

Dollzone have bought out 60 cm Boys [15 Jun 2007|02:51am] Dollzone have just released their new range of 60 cm Boys. I spent the afternoon and half the night creating pages for them on the Toyshop website so you can follow the link to that to see lots more pics. More work to do on it yet as the clothes, boots, wigs, eyes and heads still need to go in as individual items but at least people can drool over the boys. X version 2 is my personal favourite. :) http://moggiestoyshop.iinet.net.au/dollfie/page2a.html There are a couple of new options to go with them, body blushing and full sets which include clothing, wig, shoes and accessories all for the one price. All agents should have received emails about the new boys so you can nag them as to when they will be available somewhere near you. I must be mad [27 May 2007|04:57pm] Having just got the Dollzone order out of the way, the company that makes the dolls has a another division that now produces furniture for the 1/4's. Like an idiot perhaps I went ahead and signed up to add the furniture to the website. That means another minimum order to fill....sigh Am I a glutton for punishment or just insane? The jury is out. ;) Still it is nice furniture. post comment

It's official [18 May 2007|03:55pm] [ mood | accomplished ] Well, it's official now I guess. Our first order as Dollzone agents goes in today, so that makes us offically DZ agents for Aust. [02 Apr 2007|12:15pm] [ mood | productive ] It's been a week since we got back from the first BJD conference to be held in Australia. Had a great time, met lots of interesting people and a ton of dolls. The dungeon furniture got a real workout with a number of dolls trying them out for size. :) I won the look like your doll competition with Tefnut and myself dressed in matching Matrix coats. Innana won the doorprize, a tiny Orientdoll Vamp Elf Ye. Her name is Mia the Zip. Alia hasn't let go of her since we got her. :) Came home with a bunch of new wigs, a chaise lounge for the girls to sit on and a few other bits and pieces. Ran a workshop on making chainmail and foam armour that went down pretty well. Basically one long four day doll party. I took a lot of pics but about half of them didn't work out as the focussing on the camera decided to play up so many came out blurred. I resized the best of them and created a photebucket album for the less raunchy ones. I still have to create a webpage to show off the other pics though.
